Mirrors

A design project; Interactive content on UGC Video Platforms - 2024

Mirrors is an interactive storytelling solution designed for user-generated content (UGC) platforms, enabling everyday creators to craft multi-perspective narratives. Rather than presenting a single, linear storyline, it invites users to actively choose which character’s point of view to follow and how long to remain immersed in that lens. Users can fluidly shift between perspectives, to turn passive viewing into an active, reflective experience.
This modular structure allows creators to present layered, emotionally resonant stories without complex tools. By fostering immersion through deliberate pacing and seamless transitions, Mirrors supports a new form of digital storytelling, which is intimate, user-driven, and empathetic.

Entangled storyworlds

An extended reality solution for engagement and immersion on moving pictures - 2022

Entangled Storyworlds is an XR storytelling concept designed to transform how children emotionally engage with moving pictures. As Experience Designer and Narrative Systems Developer, I created an interactive experience that invites children to co-create meaning through movement, gesture, and spatial storytelling. Inspired by mythic archetypes, dream logic, and imaginative play, the project blends narrative depth with immersive design, allowing children to explore symbolic story arcs in a playful, embodied way. Developed through the Double Diamond process, Entangled Storyworlds redefines screen-based storytelling as a participatory, emotionally resonant experience.

Synthetic Scenery I

Photo series - 2018

“A sea made of silence, shaped in the corners of a room.
Light falls gently on folds that mimic waves, which are too smooth, too still.
No wind, no salt, no depth. Just memory and make-believe.

I built a shore out of plastic.
It looks enough like water to forget that it isn’t.
The ocean is vast, untamed, reduced to a wrinkle in synthetic skin.

We have learned to call this nature.
We have learned to forget.”

“As a teenager, I felt a longing to connect with the city. I imagined I was meant to become a part of the city, and the city a part of me. Since then, I have searched through the city, piece by piece, hoping to find myself somewhere within it. New spaces that reshaped the city also transformed me along the way. Today, Tehran has it all: new streets, buildings, parks, and even a lake. A lake built amid dryness, surrounded by highways, towers, and trees. Here, everything exists side by side, even nature is fabricated. This is a geography without history. Someone has constructed it all. The city that once I trusted to shape me, has not been fragmented naturally by people though time, but constructed instantly.”
